Steve Mackie and the transformation of the sports world into a connected and digitalized journey

Armenia “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

While placing our laptops in our working space on the second day of Seaside Startup Summit 2019 in Sevan lake, Armenia, an enthusiastic guy approached with a big smile and a simple question that have merged the destiny of Steve and the founders of triend.io Simon & Michel.

“Do you mind if I join you guys, you seem interesting and committed with your setting and vibe, my name is Steve Mackie, what are you working on?”

Hence the discovery of triend.io “an experience discovery platform and a marketplace for alternative traveling.” The details of the next 5 days is the story that combined the business expertise, storytelling and cooking skills of Steve, contributing directly in the advancement of triend project and the adoption of their solution of: “sports fans engagement, facilitator and operator.”

By working on the pitch together for the competition, engaging in bonfire talks and directly challenging the founders of triend.io, Steve was able to propose the idea of adapting the fan engagement sector. triend’s innovative solution for experience discovery and engagement will allow all the sports fans that are coming to Qatar to discover the country’s hidden, authentic and alternative sites and activities.

France Knowing the reason behind triend’s innovation, Steve couldn’t but stay close to the environment and people who are building this comprehensive & interconnected solution that augments the content of the market of media and experience sharing: “smart stories or micro experiences” as triend.io defines it.

triend’s smart stories connect the shared media to the booking itineraries (reservation, transportation, and accommodation) which provides the instantaneous experience purchasing.

The content is browsed under a universal feed that omits the “follower” identity and allows the content to be discovered or created under the destination and communities it belongs too.

With the combination of a user-centric experience and an interconnected media, Steve Mackie and triend have been following up in France to cover the Qatar market.

Qatar For the next three years, Qatar will be playing a major role in the development of the sports fans experience, we aim to bring our solution and enhance the pre, in & post-experience of all members engaged. From accommodation owners to public and private transportation facilitators, to the independent experience creators and operators of Qatar, triend is calling for support to realize one of the world most promising solution in the travel journey of fans, teams, and executives that are traveling from and to Qatar.

Contact triend.io is looking for investors and partners to aid with the transition to the Arab market and establish the first hub for triend activities in Qatar.

Equity partners are called upon to help with the piloting of the project in December and the business development that will allow triend and their partners to be the official team and fan engagement, facilitator and media sharing platform.
