Qatars 'Young Entrepreneurs Initiative’ empowers students

Qatars ‘Young Entrepreneurs Initiative’ aims to educate its students about leadership skills with the goal of chanelling energies and ideas to serve the society.

The initiative is a combined programme between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Qatar Chamber. A recent workshop was hosted by Qatar Chamber who are committed to supporting such initiatives by providing activities to assist entrepreneurs in developing their businesses.

The ‘Young Entrepreneurs Initiative’ aims at engaging school students and educating them about the significance of entrepreneurship and the private sector’s role in the economy and society. Moreover it strengthens innovation and creativity for students and offers practical information on how to establish businesses and maintain their development and progress, while contributing to the domestic economy.

Qatar Chambers`s workshop introduced the basic concepts and characteristics required to become a successful entrepreneur to attendees. It also explored inspiring success stories from the business world and highlighted the must learn lessons of success. Further topics included how to generate and evaluate business ideas and prepare integrated business plans encompassing all aspects from marketing to financial management.

In addition, the workshop reviewed the financial aspects of business establishment and management, including attracting and selecting available and suitable sources of funding to start-ups and how to efficiently manage financial resources. Finally the importance of marketing for business success was discussed, which dealt with topics including effective marketing strategies and the significance of digital marketing in business.
