Qatar’s vibrant tourism sector has assembled a line up of world class events expected to strengthen the market and boost the economy. The line up will feature real estate, construction, technology, hospitality, travel, health and sports events.

The strategy supports Qatar`s goal of welcoming over six million visitors a year by 2030. Moreover, it aims to increase the contribution of the travel and tourism sector to Qatar’s gross domestic product while doubling job opportunities.

Building on the successfull FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar is preparing to host the 2023 AFC Asian Football Cup in January 2024 (delayed due to Covid). Qatar is also organising the Under 23 AFC Asian Football Cup 2024 sanctioned by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Further showcasing the country`s state of the art sports facilities is the Formula One Qatar Grand Prix at the Losail International Circuit from October 6 to 8, 2023. Returning for the 25th consecutive year is the Qatar Masters golf tournament held at Doha Golf Club from October 26-29, 2023.

At the same time MENAs first of its kind International Horticultural Expo 2023 will run from October 2023 to April 2024. The event will offer an experience of innovation, sustainability, sharing, culture and entertainment.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s leading real estate convention, Cityscape Qatar 2023, will be held (among many others) from October 24-26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). It will bring together industry professionals to explore Qatar’s real estate landscape. Similarly the Big 5 Construct Qatar aims to connect Qatar`s construction industry and will take place from October 23-25, 2023. After that is the Qatar Travel Mart from November 20-22 at DECC.
